For Authors
All manuscripts are submitted through OJS at ojs.jemur.org, but authors should prepare their work according to the full requirements below before opening the submission form.
Who May Submit
- At least one author must be an active undergraduate or graduate student.
- Co-authored work is welcome when contribution and authorship are represented clearly.
- The corresponding author must ensure that every listed author approves the final submitted version.
Manuscript Preparation
- The manuscript must be written in English.
- The main text must use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
- The abstract must be between 250 and 400 words.
- The manuscript must include at least 5 keywords.
- All citations and references must follow APA 7.
- The submission must remain at or below a 20% similarity rate.
Content Expectations
- Research articles should define a clear problem, method, source base, and conclusion.
- Literature reviews should offer analytical synthesis rather than descriptive summary alone.
- Book reviews and interviews should include scholarly framing, contextualization, and academically appropriate references where relevant.
- Figures, tables, appendices, and interview materials must be accurate, legible, and properly attributed.
AI and Disclosure
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
- AI-based language editing, copyediting, and editorial rewriting are not accepted as substitutes for human scholarly writing or editorial preparation.
- If any AI-assisted process contributed to the work in a limited technical way, that use must be disclosed transparently in the manuscript.
- Authors remain fully responsible for every sentence, citation, interpretation, and factual claim in the submitted text.
Before Uploading to OJS
- Prepare the manuscript file, title, abstract, keywords, author details, and any required supplementary files in final form.
- Check permissions for images, figures, interview material, or third-party content.
- Ensure that the manuscript reflects the final author-approved version.
- Use OJS for submission, metadata entry, revision upload, and editorial communication only after these requirements are met.
Submission Checklist
- Confirm that the manuscript is written in English and fits JEMUR's undergraduate, graduate, and interdisciplinary scope.
- Format the manuscript in Times New Roman, 12 pt, prepare a 250-400 word abstract, and provide at least 5 keywords.
- Apply APA 7 consistently, keep similarity at or below 20%, and disclose any AI-related use transparently in the manuscript.
- Ensure that at least one listed author is currently an undergraduate or graduate student and submit all files through ojs.jemur.org.
